Objectives
- Clinicians are trained to utilize the new AHA PREVENT-ASCVD equations to assess 10-yr and 30-yr cardiovascular risk, which replaces the older Pooled Cohort Equations.
- Understand the mandate for measuring Lp(a) at least once in a lifetime and the selective use of ApoB to improve patient-specific risk assessment
- Recognize when to use coronary artery calcium scoring to reclassify risk and guide treatment escalation for patients in intermediate-risk categories
